The lastest Java update can affect printing within Syspro.

 


 

If you have updated to the latest version of Java, you may find that Syspro reporting services has stopped working. The latest update (as of now Java 8) has changed key set up files.

 


 

How to fix the issue

 


 

Check the registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\JavaSoft\Java Runtime Environment

 


 

There should be some verions of Java here. E.g. 1.7 or 1.8 etc

 

Check the node of the latest version and look at the "JavaHome.string"

 


 

The path should be a valid paid to your machine.

 


 

Now Open: C:\Program Files (x86)\Business Objects\Common\4.0\java\CRConfig.xml

 


 

Edit the JavaDir XML node and set it to the JavaHome string with "/bin" at the end.

 


 

Example; "<JavaDir>C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre7\bin</JavaDir>"

 


 

Now save the file and then proceed to kill all processes labeled Java.exe.

 

Then try it again and it should work,
